Amplify the story of the salt industry workers and give their story a proper place on the island by highlighting the past and educating the future through the lens of the salt workers on the island. The story of the salt workers is not appropriately presented and highlighted in the history of the island’s salt industry, especially within the region. Reminiscence of the past is still visible, yet there is no context for the visitors who find themselves in the area. This project aimed to create an experience for tourists who visit the area to learn more about the artifacts and architecture they see. The tourists will uncover the real story behind the industry and take away a part of our rich history. The user will go on a journey to discover the past through a series of designed markers and signage.
