Fishing Tournament

Bonaire International Fishing Tournament (BIFT) is an annual billfish fishing tournament held on a small island in the Caribbean, called Bonaire. This event is geared towards middle-aged men and women, ages 25 to 45, who are avid fishermen that continuously travel the Caribbean to attend fishing tournaments. The tournament is coming up on their 30th anniversary and is wanting to do a full redesign of their brand and event to attract more participants. An article published in Marlin Magazine notes that Fishing is one of the most popular outdoor recreational activities in the Caribbean. In 2017, more than 500 thousand participants from around the Caribbean participated in a billfish tournament. The number of annual outings among fishing participants can vary in the Caribbean. In 2017, the largest share of fishing participants went on four to eleven trips, but a small percentage went on fishing outings more than 104 times a year. BIFT plans to redesign and reorganize the event to better suit their targeted audience. This project displays a completely redesigned tournament logo that is more modern and using vibrant colors that adhere to the theme and subject. With the incorporation of the new logo, new shirt designs suggested for the tournament. The two posters designs are designed to be an invitational poster for the fishermen, and the other one is intended to be more of an informational poster. The boat wrap design incorporates the logo design and illustrations with the branding colors. The approach for the rebrand is to use a gold and blue color palette and illustration.
